Zuhair Al Saeed (1980 – ) belongs to a generation of contemporary Bahraini artists. He excels in his field by experimenting with unknown artistic techniques to create contemporary works of art. His artwork spans a variety of mediums such as watercolor, acrylic and oil painting and also includes photography and installations. He is a member of Bahrain Art Society and he is the founder of ZAS Gallery & Studios. Al Saeed has had both solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in the GCC, the Arab world, Europe and the USA. His artworks are purchased by, among others, the Bahrain National Museum, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kuwait, as well as several private collectors in the Middle East, Europe and the USA. In October 2015, Al Saeed received the Palme d’Or at the Visual Arts Forum in Doha, Qatar. He is also the winner of the 2008 Zain Dream Innovation Initiative.
