Zeyneb Chiaa Mansour is an artist from Nouakchott in Mauritania. She started painting in 2005 and the following year joined the Maison des Artistes in Noukachott and had her first solo exhibition in 2007. After studying Chinese calligraphy, she became interested in Arabic calligraphy and Arabic calligraphy has come to characterize her artistic expression. She defines herself as a visual artist whose work presents Arabic calligraphy in the space between abstraction and surrealism. She has previously exhibited in Mauritania, Algeria and Spain.
