Oud Huset

Oud Huset in Malmö consists of two organisations, the culture organisation Oud Huset and Oud Huset AB.

Oud Huset aims to integrate oriental music with western music. The main focus is on the oriental stringed instrument Oud, also called short-necked lute, an instrument with its roots in Mesopotamia.

At Oud Huset both children and adults can take a course and learn to play the oud, violin, guitar, piano and drums. They hold concerts and musical events, both with Oud Huset´s own band and with invited artists and musicians, and they also sell instruments and accessories.
