Hamza Bounoua (1979 – ) is a calligrapher and artist born in Algeria. He is educated at the Ecole De Beaux arts in Paris. Bounoua is inspired in his work by Arab, Berber and African art. His work shows letters in abstract form, geometric shapes combined with a flow of strong colors.
In 2020, Bounoua started the Diwaniya Art Gallery in Algiers, with the aim of promoting Arab, Berber and Islamic art in Algeria and around the world.
