Dr. Jose Miguel Puerta is an Arabist and professor of art history at the University of Granada. Among other things, he have been researching the architectural and urban heritage in Andalusia and the Alhambra, one of the most well-preserved monuments of Islamic architecture in Spain. His translation works include texts of Adonis, Sufism and surrealism (2008) and books on Ghada Samman, Beirut 75 (novel) and The Moon Square (fantastic stories; Andaluz Translation Prize, 2008). He was co-director and editor of the Library of al-Andalus (9 vols., 2003-2013).
